Thom Reed
Thomas E. Reed is the founder of the international model and artist group, Miami Models (South Beach FL) founded in 1995. With clients, Polo Black Label, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Polo Black Label. He has booked and/or represented the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders, Serena Williams, and NFL Cornerback, Michael Rumph.
Until the age of two, Thom lived in Cherry Hills, Colorado at the home of William Roosevelt, the grandson of President Roosevelt. His grandmother was the Governess for the household. Thom's family moved back to New England in 1963. His Father, Dr. Howard Reed, was an attorney and town selectmen, in Canaan Connecticut. His mother, Nancy, a radio personality for WKZE 98.1 and the owner of a local diner, The Village on the Green, in Sheffield, MA. Thom attended Searle's Middle School and Monument Mountain High in Great Barrington, MA. He was a member of the wrestling team and photography club. His career began in Hartford, CT where he worked as stage manager and photographer for North East Concerts, and shot fashion runway for "Sage-Allen & Co".
By the age of 26 he was the stage manager and photographer Club Getaway (Club Med) where he met Danielle Gallo, the Art Director for Penthouse Magazine. In 1986, Gallo invited Reed to Omni-Penthouse in New York. Gallo befriended Reed, and encouraged him to shoot slide film, and informed him on the inner workings of industry. With a renewed vigor he moved to South Florida, and found opportunities in Miami Beach, shooting fashion models and composite cards for renowned agencies, Michelle Pommier Models, Wilhelmina, The Greene Agency, World of Kids and Click. He later worked as an associate producer for Five Star Productions, underwritten by John Paul Mitchell Systems. The syndicated television series was, "Today's Health", with Tennis Pro Chris Evert. In 1995, Reed founded Miami Models, his management firm had a talent pool of over 700. Miami Models was renowned for its Children's Board, European Print, and Fashion Runway. Most notable Runway Shows: Ocean Drive, and the Pangaea Club, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Reed has been featured in Men's-Health, Marie Claire, Radio Times, Screen Rant, the Boston Globe, the NY Times, and Canada AM. He has been the subject of several documentaries, and made appearances in feature films.
As of late, Reed is known for making a form of UFO History. His family's September 1, 1969 Off-World incident became the first to be officially inducted into the United States as Historically True, by historians and the office of the Governor. The State induction graced the front page of the Boston Globe and was covered live by ABC News NY. His, Thom Reed - UFO Monument Park is located on Covered Bridge Ln Sheffield, MA. 01230.
